Explanation of Contact Lens Professional Services
Thank you for choosing Eye Care Center of Colorado Springs for your contact lens care. We will do our very best to make your contact lens wearing experience clear, healthy, comfortable, and enjoyable.
Contact lenses are an excellent alternative and have many advantages over spectacles. They are, however, a medical device which have certain limitations. Contact lenses are not suitable for wear in all conditions or for all patients. It is important that you exercise good judgment while wearing and caring for your lenses. To ensure your safety and eye health routine progress visits and annual examinations are in your best interest and are required. Eye health problems associated with contact lenses can arise without noticeable symptoms of pain or blurry vision. However, if you do experience pain, blurred vision, redness, discharge or any unusual symptoms before your next scheduled appointment, remove your contacts and report to us immediately, as these are not normal experiences in wearing contact lenses. Failure to follow your instructions can lead to infection, damage to your eyes, and loss of vision. We want your contact lens experience to be a successful one, so please do not hesitate to ask questions. Any member of our staff will be happy to help you.
Your contact lens professional services include the following:*
- Fitting and evaluation of your eye health associated with wearing contacts.
- Review of past and current contact lens experience.
- Appropriate diagnostic testing to evaluate your eye health and contact lens fitting options.
- Contact lens follow-up visits for six months from initial fitting date.
- Prescription adjustments if needed within the first thirty days of fitting.
- Courtesy discounts on prescription glasses, sunglasses, and accessories.
- All necessary training in lens handling.
- Guaranteed lens replacement cost for one year.
* Office visits for eye injury, infection, and non-contact lens related problems are not included and will be charged at regular prices. We will not be responsible for prescription adjustments for lenses obtained from sources outside our clinic.
Contact lens return policy
If during the first sixty (60) days after fitting you should decide to discontinue contact lens wear you may receive a merchandise credit for the cost of the contact lens materials to be used as you wish for yourself or another family member. Professional fees are not credited or refunded.
